  (Repair the World) TBS TIKUN OLOM PROJECTS

 

FOOD DRIVE- A food bin is located in the Education wing lobby.  Food is regularly transported to the Open Door Food Shelter in Freehold and the Samaritan Center in Manalapan.  Bring in a kosher canned good item and deposit in our food bin soon!

BLOOD DRIVE- 2 drives per year- one in the Winter and 1 in the Spring.  We have between 35 and 55 people who donate at each drive.    Please say yes when called or feel free to call into the office and make your appointment at your convenience.

HOSPITAL VISITATION-We visit Centra State Hospital in Freehold for every holiday.  Our Acts of Kindness Volunteers give the patient a card of good wishes and a carnation.  On Jewish holidays, they give each Jewish patient an item related to the holiday such as dreidels for Chanukah, groggers for Purim, flags for Simchat Torah, etc.  Eight to Ten of our congregants go for each visit and they divide up into teams in the various sections of the hospital when visiting the patients.  Visiting the sick is a true mitzvah!
